Additional: William J. "Bill" Miller Sr., 70, 33 E. South St. New Bremen, died at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster. He was born Nov. 7, 1929, to Daniel and Mary C. (Knuth) Miller. Survivors include one close friend, Audy McCullom of New Bremen; two sons, Williiam (Kathy) Miller Jr. of Loubelville, Tenn., and Kevin (Lorraine) Miller of Lawrenceville, Ga.: one daughter, Wanda (Sam) Stokely of Lima; two step-sons, David (Cathy) Erwin of Arcanum and Mark Erwin of Greenville; one step-daughter, Monica Buckingham of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Theodore Miller of Lima and Henry Miller of Wapakoneta; and three sisters, Francis Keysor and Patricia Hull, both of Wapakoneta and Jaquie Jones of Fort Recovery. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Miller; and six brothers, Gerald, Desmond, Eugene, Vincent, Ronald and Daniel Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of the Chruch of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. He had owned and operated Miller Insurance Agency in New Bremen prior to his retirement. He previously served with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Navy. He was a life-member of the American Legion Post 241 of New Bremen, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 1391 of Minster and the AmVets Post 72 of Piqua, Past Master Masonic Home Lodge 167, the Scottish Rite of Dayton, the Antioch Temple Shrine of Dayton and the New Bremen Lions Club. Funeral servcies were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen with the Rev. Daniel Conlon officiating. Following the funeral mass, Mr. Miller's body was cremated. The remains wil be buried at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the Hospice of Mercer/Darke counties or to the charity of the donor's choice.
