Additional: Wilbur E. McMullen, 80, 109 Ohio St., St. Marys, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys. He was born March 21, 1920, in St. Marys, the son of Cornelius and Molly (Hawk) McMullen. On Nov. 11, 1945, he married Dorothy Niemeyer, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Larry (Linda Lou) McMullen of Geneva, Ind.; a daughter, Linda Sue (Dave) Huston of St. Marys; a sister, Lois Schaefer of Sidney; his mother-in-law, Alvena Niemeyer of New Knoxville; six granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marvel Ramsey and an infant brother. Mr. McMullen was retired from the Huffy Bicycle Corp in Celina, where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys. He enjoyed fishing, walking and latch hook. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Rev. Patricia Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery near New Knoxville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the St. Paul's United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, Gideons International or the Valley Nursing Home Activities Fund.
