Additional: Jesslyn O. McConnell, 75, died at 3:28 p.m. Monday at Joint Township District Hospital following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 17, 1909, in Noble Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of Joseph Richard and Jennie Mae Burd Brown. On April 16, 1930, she married Thomas W. McConnell, who died in 1938. Mrs. McConnell retired in 1972 after 28 years service at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Robert McConnell of Wapakoneta and Marvin Gene McConnell of St. Marys; a daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Lois) Davidson of Richmond, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Yoder Chapel of Long and Folk Funeral Home, Rev. Duncan H. Nichol officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the heart fund.
