Additional: Freddie Duane McDaniel Jr., 23, Wapakoneta, died at 3:58 a.m. Sunday, March 11, 2001 at the emergency room of St. Rita's Medical Center, in Lima following an automobile accident. He was born Oct. 24, 1977, the son of Freddie Duane McDaniel Sr. and Jeannine Louise (Garee) McDaniel. Both parnets survive in Wapakoneta. Other survivors include two sisters, Holly Marie McDaniel and Tiffany Anne McDaniel, both of Wapakoneta; his maternal grandmother, Loraine C. Garee of Lima; his paternal grandmother, Evelyn (Norman) McDaniel Cruzon of Lima; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert E. Garee; his paternal grandfather, Arthur Lee McDaniel and a cousin, Michael Lee McDaniel Jr. who died Feb 3, 2001. Mr. McDaniel was an assembly line worker at Honda of American in Anna and had formerly worked at Copeland Corp in Sidney. He was a 1997 graduate of Wapakoneta High School and Apollo Joint Vocational Center in precision machining. He played midget football at Elida Middle School and enjoyed football and basketball. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville. Burial will follow at Shawnee Cemetery in Shawnee Township. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
