Additional: Bette J. Meier, 64, 2100 Celina Road 63, St. Marys, died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima following an extended illness. She was born Jan. 4, 1936 in Union Township, Mercer County, the daughter of Robert and Helen (Thomas) Nolan. Survivors include three sons, Paul Gibson of Union City, Tenn., Cliff (Michelle) Gibson of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Kurt (Lori) Meier of Sidney; a brother, Robert Nolan of Mendon; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Ms. Meier was retired from Hayes-Albion Corp. (Trim Trends) in Spencerville. She was a member of the Wayne United Methodist Church in St. Marys. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts and taking trips with the St. Marys Senior Citizens Club. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Rev. Donald Ricard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mendon Cemetery in Mendon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
