Additional: Rita Oen Leiberick, 78, a native and longtime resident of Wapakoneta, formerly of Cape Coral, Fla., died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at the Pines of Sarasota in Sarasota, Fla. She was born Dec. 12, 1922, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Bernard G. and Mary H. (Orphal) Oen. On June 29, 1946, she married Chester L. "Chet" Leiberick, who died July 25, 1998. Survivors include two sons, Gregory L. (Cheri) Leiberick and James O. (Michele) Leiberick, both of Sarasota, Fla; two brothers, James H. (Nancy) Oen and Donald F. Oen, both of Wapakoneta; three sisters, Joan (Raymond) Dorley of Lima, Ruth Ann (Donald) Tway of Worthington and Mae (Fred) Mier of Naples. Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Leiberick. A homemaker, Mrs. Leiberick was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Chiodo, C.P.P.S. officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, Wapakoneta Chapel, in Wapakoneta. A Christian Prayer Service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
