Additional: Wapakoneta—Marie I. Long, 75, 409 Defiance St., died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at 6:30 a.m. at the Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home. She had been at the nursing home a week. She was born Jan. 11, 1924, in Buckland, daughter of Andrew and Louise (Schneider) Ott. On December 16, 1943, she was married to Walter J. Lamping. He died March 8, 1955. On May 5, 1956, she and Harold A. Long were married. He died April 11, 1978. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Karen) Reinhardt of Murrysville, Pa., and a son, Gregory A. Long of Waynesfield; eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; her mother of Botkins; two brothers, James Ott of New Knoxville, and Leo Ott of Botkins; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Martha) Schweitzer of Quincy, JoAnn Ludwig of Botkins, and Mrs. John (Delores) Wilson of Botkins. A son preceded her in death. Mrs. Long was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta. She was a homemaker. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Peter Chiodo officiating. Burial will be in St. Josoph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Long & Folk Funeral Home in Wapakoneta today from 4 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at 8 p.m.
