Additional: Matilda E. Kuhlman, 92, formerly of 104 W. Spring Street, New Knoxville, died at 12:01 p.m. Tuesday, Feb 17, 1998 at Dorothy Love Retirement Ceneter, Sidney. She was born April 29, 1905 in Van Buren Township, Shelby County to William and Sarah (Settlage) Elshoff. On April 29, 1927 she married Leroy B. Kuhlman and he died Dec. 21, 1979. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and JoAnn Kuhlman, New Knoxville; four grandsons and wives, Mark and Elisabeth Kuhlman, Cresent Springs, Kentucky,; John and Joan Kuhlman, Batesville, Indiana; Stven and Rebecca Kuhlman, Cincinnati; Paul and Benita Kuhlman, Avon, South Dakota; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ben, Lewis, August, Harry Elshoff and two sisters, Hilda and Mary. Mrs. Kuhlman, a homemaker was a member of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, where she was a member of the Women's Guild, and also taught Sunday School for many years. She was a graduate of New Knoxville High School. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Church of Christ Heritage Room with Rev. David Hunt and Rev. Fred Lacuesta officiating. Burail will follow in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville. Memorials may be directed to the Church Radio Fund.
