Additional: The mangled body of the man found on the Nickel Plate railway track a mile west of Buckland at 1 a.m. Tuesday has been identified as Joseph Glen Jackson, 55, itinerant worker fom Waco, Texas. Identification was made by Tom Rashell, foreman of a Pipe Line Contruction Company gang at Lima, for whom Jackson had worked at irregular intervals for the last 20 years. Rashell heard a description of the dead man broadcast yesterday afternoon and immediately came to the Yoder & Son Funeral Home where he identified the accident victim as Jackson. Fellow employees of Jackson called later in the evening. Jackson is said to have a sister in Waco, Texas, but her name is not known by those who called at the funeral home last evening. He lived at the Halloran Hotel in Lima. Jackson and another pipe line worker are said to have hopped the Nickel Plate west-bound passenger train Monday night in Lima. He is reported to have been riding the "blind", a spot between cars on the passenger, when the train pulled out of Lima. It is surmised that he fell off shortly after the train left Buckland and landed under the wheels of the passenger train about a mile west of Buckland. His body was discovered there by the crew of a west-bound freight shortly before 1 a.m. about two and a half hours after the accident occurred. Funeral services are tentatively arranged for 1 o'clock Friday morning at the Yoder & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul J. Strouse officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler cemetery north of Wapakoneta.
