Additional: Virgil H. Howe, 53, of 180 N. Cleveland St., Minster, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, March 21, in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima. He had been in failing health for some time. A native of Kettlersville, he was born May 10, 1922, the son of Henry and Sarah (Huelsmeyer) Howe. His widow, the former Rita Schulte, suvives along with a daughter, Mrs. Don (JoEllen) Bollheimer, Fort Loramie; three grandchidren; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Erma) Grieves, Botkins; and Mrs. Dorothy Berning, New Bremen; and three brothers, Harold and Donald, New Knoxville, and Lester, New Bremen. Mr. Howe was a veteran of World War II and belonged to the American Legion in Fort Loramie, was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Minster, belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, Minster and the Cataract Fire Co, also of Minster. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, with the Rev. Roger Perl officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday.
