Additional: New Bremen—Margaret L. Henschen, 73, 04867 Southland Road, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept 24, 1996, at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima. She was born June 17, 1923, near Marietta in Morgan County to Amos and Clara (Reed) Wagner and at the age of seven was adopted by August and Caroline (Katterheinrich) Beickman of New Knoxville. On May 26, 1942, she married Reuben Henschen who survives near New Bremen. She is also survived by two sons, Larry, Springfield; Roger, St. Marys; two daughters, Mary Metzger and Mrs. Stan (Kathryn) Chalk, both of New Knoxville; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, a brother, Amos Wagner, Jr., Beverly; four sisters, Kathryn Henninger, Lowell; Ethel Lewis, Beverly; Hazel Van Wey, Marietta; and Deloris "Mary" Neiss, Newton Falls. Mrs. Henschen was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gilberg Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Church. The preferred memorial is to the church memorial fund.
