Additional: Lydia C. Henschen, 90, of here, died at 7 p.m. Friday at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys, where she had been a patient for 5 1/2 years. Mrs. Henschen was born June 12, 1897, in New Knoxville, the daughter of August and Anna Schroer Stienecker. On July 29, 1920, she married Adolph A. Henschen, who preceded her in death. A homemaker, Mrs. Henschen had operated the Double A. also know as Adolph's Restaurant, which she and her husband owned for 54 years. She was a member of First United Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Byrdell) Talley of Dayton and Mrs. Lester (Marion) Elshoff of New Knoxville; two sons, Paul Henschen of Columbus and Kenneth Henschen of New Bremen; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Hoge of Sidney and Gertrude Wright of Sun City Center, Fla. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, Rev. Jon R. Coddington officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
