Additional: New Knoxville—John L. Henry Jr., 50, of 309 German St., died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, in the emergency room of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. He was born Dec. 19, 1950 in Charleroi, Penn., the son of John L. and Clara L. (Mohlman) Henry Sr. His mother survives in McKeesport, Penn. Mr. Henry is also survived by his wife, Johanna Alger of New Knoxville; two sons, Christopher J. Henry of Philadelphia, Penn, and John Carl Henry of New Knoxville; two daughters are Tammy Rae Henry of Charleroi, Penn. and Elizabeth J. Henry of New Knoxville; one brother Thomas Henry of West Newton, Penn; two sisters, Cheryl Keith of West Newton, Penn., and Marsha Sleith of Monogahela, Penn.; a grandson, and two grandmothers, Mary Schmidt of Pittsburgh, Penn., and Elizabeth Jane Henry of West Newton, Penn. Mr. Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1968 to 1970 when he served in Vietnam. He had formerly owned and operated the Artifax Custom Leather Shop in Georgia, and was a member of the Georgia Leather Crafters's Guild, where he served as secretary/treasurer. He was employed by Sperion in Wapakoneta. The body has been cremated. Services will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania. Local arrangements are under th direction of Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen.
