Additional: Glenn L. Holtkamp, 47, formerly of New Knoxville, and his daughter, Kay, 17, were killed when a plane he was piloting was torn apart in a sudden thunderstorm over the Tennesee river near Courtland Ala. on Saturday, July 1. They had left their home in Chattanooga, Tenn. and were going to Dallas, Texas to visit another daughter, Lyn Holtkamp. They were both buried in the National Cemetery at Chattanooga where graveside services were held on Wednesday, July 5. Mr. Holtkamp was born May 6, 1931 in New Knoxville to the late Julius and Ella Holtkamp. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Air Corps. He was currently self-employed as a computer programmer. He is survived by his widow, Sue, two daughters, Mrs. Craig (Joy) Lamountain of Collegedale, Tenn, and Lyn, who is returning from Dallas to be living at home; one granddaughter; and a brother, Calvin of Mansfield. Kay is survived by her mother, two sisters, and her maternal grandparents. She was born Dec. 6, 1960 and had just graduated from Collegedale Academy.
