Additional: Clara E. Huenke, 80, of R.R.1, New Bremen, died at 6:29 p.m. Saturday at the Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys. She had been ailing for some time and death was due to complications. Born April 15, 1898, in New Bremen, she was the daughter of Charles and Emily (Schowe) Heil. On Aug. 18, 1923, she was married to William Huenke, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary Kathryn) Maze of R.R.1 New Bremen, and Mrs. Charles E. (Dorothy) Huwer of St. Marys; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Lillian) Dixon Sr. of Celina and Mrs. Ethel Trout of Dayton; and a brother, Homer Heil of Columbus. One granddaughter, a sister, Mrs. Irvin (Alma) Westerbeck and two brothers, Lawrence and Karl Heil preceded her in death. Mrs. Huenke was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the Christian Service Guild of the church, Koop Community Club, Worthwhile Women's Club and the New Bremen Senior Citizens, Inc. She was a past president of the New Bremen American Legion Auxilliary. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen with the Rev. Larry K. May officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today and until time of services on Tuesday. The family asks that contributions be directed to the St. Paul United Church of Christ Memorial Fund. The American Legion Auxilliary will hod services at the funeral home at 9 p.m. today.
