Additional: Charles B. Hepler, 86, Wapakoneta, died in the morning of Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 13, 1914, in Lima, the son of Oran and Bessie May (East) Hepler. He lived in Wapakoneta for many years. Survivors include two brothers, James Hepler of Lima and Oran "Bill" Hepler of Columbus; several nieces and nephews and his caregivers, Troy and Peggy Hicks of Wapakoneta. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hepler; and four sisters, Elizabeth Cheney, Anna Steach, Dola Gessler and Dora Yazel. Mr. Hepler was a mechanic at Tilton Corp. in Lima. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elida Greenlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Howard Allison officiating.
