Additional: Mrs. Alvina M. Henschen, 86, of R.R.1, New Knoxville, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Joint Township Memorial Hospital. Death was due to complications after an illness of two weeks. Born November 9, 1886 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of William and Magdalena Lammers Haberkamp. She was married to Herman F. Henschen on April 28, 1910. He died September 16, 1972. Four sons, Leonard, R.R.1, St. Marys, Elmer, R.R. 1, New Knoxville, Reuben, R.R.1 New Bremen and Victor, R.R.1, New Knoxville, survive along with 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George (Sarah) Katterheinrich and Mrs. Julius (Ella) Holtkamp, both of New Knoxville and one brother, Julius Haberkamp of Toledo. A grandson, an infant sister, Emma, and three brothers, Henry, Bernard and Herman Haberkamp preceded Mrs. Henschen in death. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Knoxville where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and until the time of services on Friday. The Rev. Mr. Kenneth Worthman will officiate at the services with burial in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
