Additional: Ruth M. Gibbons, 75, Laurinburg, N.C. formerly of St. Marys, died Oct. 21, 2000, at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, N.C. She was born April 29, 1925, in Akron, the daughter of Howard and Mary Eisel Foust. On June 16, 1951, she married Tipton Gibbons, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Randall T. Gibbons of Farmington, Conn.; two daughters, Jeanne Gibbons of Hagerstown, Ind., and Suzanne Lossman of Laurinburg, N.C. and five grandchildren. Mrs. Gibbons was a 1943 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys and lived in St. Marys for many years. She worked at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and the unemployment office, both in St. Marys. No funeral services were held, and her body was cremated.
