Additional: Jeanette F. Guffey, 57, 310 N., Main St., died following an extended illness at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 1996, at University Hospital in Columbus. She was born Oct. 12, 1938 in New Bremen to Harold and Frances (Ruwoldt) Ahlers. On Nov. 2, 1968, she married Jack B. Guffey, who died in 1976. She is survived by her mother in New Bremen; two sisters and spouses, Roslyn and Homer Stutsman, Botkins, Elaine and Ernest Covault, Clearwater, Fla.;a brother and spouse, William and Joan Ahlers, New Bremen; and 12 nephews and nieces. Mrs. Guffey was formerly employed at STAMCO and a Plastipak Packaging in Jackson Center. The body will be cremated and there will be no services. The preferred memorial is to the American Cancer Society.
