Additional: Edna V. Gump, 95, 415 E. Haven Drive, New Bremen, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at 2:50 a.m. at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She was born Dec. 18, 1905, in Shelby County, the daughter, of Frederick and Clara (Fessler) Roeth. On July 3, 1926, she married Edgar H. Gump, who died March 19, 1983. Survivors include a daughter, Alberta (Carl) Heohne of New Bremen; a sister, Opal Jones of Piqua; a brother Arthur Roeth of Piqua; two grandchildren, Glenn Hoehne and Heidi Coppock; and a great-grandson, Gage Hoehne. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Lou Gump, July 3, 1942; two brothers, and two sisters. A homemaker, Mrs. Gump was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys. She had been a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Piqua, where she was active in the missionary Circle and the Deborah Class. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Jamison & Yannucci Funeral Home in Piqua with the Rev. Joachim Wilck officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
