Additional: John C. Finke, 75, 1027 Wiliams St., St. Marys, died at 3:10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at his home. He was born Jan. 19, 1925, in St. Marys, the son of Noah and Caroline (Kellermeyer) Finke. On Dec. 6, 1943, he married Bettie Ice, who survives. Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Terry) Monroe of St. Marys; a son, Allan (Linda) Finke of Chattanooga, Tenn.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Finke, and two sisters, Annabelle Lynch and Janet Lynch. Mr. Finke was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in St. Marys. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former St. Marys city councilman and a member of American Legion Post 323, serving as past commander, and veterans of Foreign Wars 9289, both of St. Marys. Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Patricia G. Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Memorials may be directed to the Leukemia Society.
