Additional: Freda Fark, 85, 410 W. Second St., New Bremen, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at 10:25 a.m. at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys. She was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Kossuth, the daughter of Harry and Edna (McPheron) Binkley. On Aug. 14, 1940, she married Donald Fark, who died July 5, 1999. Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Eileen Binkley of Wapakoneta, Cleora Forwerck of New Bremen and Charleen (Robert) Hunter of St. Marys; and a brother-in-law, Lewis Speckman of Wapakoneta. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Speckman and Albertine Schamp, and a brother, Merlin Binkley. A homemaker, Mrs. Fark was an active member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Bremen. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed fishing. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gilberg Funeral Home in New Bremen with the Rev. Steven Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the church memorial fund or to the American Heart Association.
