Additional: The Rev. Adolph R. Fledderjohann, 36, of Decatur, Indiana, native of New Knoxville, was instantly killed Thursday night at Laporte, Indiana, when his auto was struck at a crossing by a train, aaccording to a report received by relatives in that village. His brother-in-law, the Rev. Richard B. Meckstroth of Huntington, Indiana, who was riding with him escaped with minor injuries. No details of the tragedy were learned by New Knoxville Kins folk. Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Meckstroth residing south of the villiage, parents of the dead man's wife and other relatives went to Decatur immediately after receiving word of the accident. Mrs. Mary Fledderjohann, of New Knoxville is the mother of the deceased. He was reared in the village and later attended the Mission House college and seminary in Wisconsin. His first charge as a minister of the Reformed church was at Linton, Indiana. Six years ago he went to Decaur. His wife was Matilda Meckstroth. She and three daughters survive. Brothers and sisters of the deceased all reside in New Knoxville vicinity. They are Herman, Fred and August Fledderjohann and Mrs. Ed. Arnett and Mrs. Sam Maneke. No funeral arrangements were known at New Knoxville. It was believed that the body will be brought there following funeral services at Decatur.
