Additional: Philip W. Eversman, 78, retired farmer of Kettlersville, died this morning at 3:40 at the Joint Township Memorial Hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack following an illness of nine days. He was born to Herman and Elsie Vanotrick Eversman June 29, 1878, in Shelby County. He was married March 20, 1901, to Sara Schrolucke who preceded him in death November 13, 1923. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Harry Moellenkamp, New Knoxville, Ray, New Knoxville, Albert, Piqua, and Mrs. William Cory, St. Paris, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Kogge, Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church, New Knoxville, of which he was a member. The Rev. J.R. Wynd will officiate. Burial will be in the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call at the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen after Friday noon until 10 o'clock Saturday morning when the body will be removed to the church to lie in state from 11 o'clock to 2 p.m.
