Additional: New Knoxville, March 28—Henry W. Eversman, age 67, widely known New Knoxville citizen, died suddenly of coronary thrombosis at 6 o'clock Tuesday evening at his home here. Mr. Eversman had submitted to the amputation of both his legs several years ago to stop gangrenous infection and since that time had been in good health. There was no warning of the fatal attack. Henry W. Eversman was born December 24, 1866, in Van Buren township, Shelby county, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Wierwille Eversman. In the spring of 1894 he moved from Van Buren township to Washington township, this county, where he engaged in farming. Later he became identified with the business life of New Knoxville serving capably and with the interests of the village at heart. On May 9, 1889, Mr. Eversman married Caroline Lutterbeck, who is left to mourn his death. Surviving him too are three sons, Ferd F. Eversman, Julius H. Eversman, New Knoxville, and Sylvanus R. Eversman, New York City; two sisters and four brothers; Mrs. B.E. Cook, Mrs. Theodore Kuck, A.E. Eversman, H.E. Eversman, New Knoxville, Benjamin Eversman, Denver, Colo.; and Lewis Eversman, Julesburg, Colo. A son and daughter preceded him in death. He was confirmed in the First Reformed church and was faithful in his attendance at church attendance at church services. He was serving the church as trustee at the time of his death. Funeral services are arranged for Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, followed with services at the First Reformed church. The Rev. O.B. Moor will officiate and burial will be made in Pilger Ruhe cemetery. Friends are invited to the church service.
