Additional: New Knoxville, Feb.22—Ernst A. Eversman, age 59, widely known contractor died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at his home here. Death came suddenly due to a heart attack. He had been ill for two weeks suffering with rheumatism and pleurisy but was much improved and had expected to get up today. Mr. Eversman and his son, Oliver, were partners in mason contract work and had a large business through this territory. He was recognized as an expert workman and was well liked. He was born September 1, 1881 in Shelby county, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Wierwille Eversman but had lived almost all of his life in New Knoxville. On May 12, 1904 he married Matilda Eschmeyer who is left to mourn his death. Four children were born to them as follows, Oliver Eversman, New Knoxville, Carl Eversman, Lorain, Miss Dorothy, at home, and Mrs. John (Louise) Siehl, Cincinnati. In addition to his wife and children he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. B.E. Cook and Mrs. Theodore Kuck, both of New Knoxville. Mr. Eversman had been a member of the Village Council and of the Village Board of Public Affairs some years ago, serving his community acceptably in these public offices. He was a life long member of the First Evangelical Reformed church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at his late residence and at 2 o'clock at the First Evangelical Reformed church with Dr. D.A. Bode officiating. Burial will take place in Pilger Ruhe cemetery. Friends may call at the residence any time Sunday afternoon or Monday evening.
