Additional: Clarence D. Eschenbrenner, 76, of 322 Lynn St., St. Marys, died at 9:55 a.m. Saturday in Celina Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born Aug. 16, 1905 in Cincinnati, he was the son of William and Katherine (Distler) Eschenbrenner. On May 29, 1932, he married Helen Marie Suhlman who died in 1940. On March 17, 1944, he married Helen Murray who survives. Other survivors include a son, William A. Eschenbrenner of McClure; two daughters, Mrs. James (Doris) Glass of Celina; Mrs. Ronald (Margaret) Hunter of St. Marys; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Eschenbrenner of Cincinnati; and one sister, Viola Lamott of Cincinnati. Mr. Eschenbrenner was a retired millwright and security guard for AVCO New Idea Corp. of Coldwater. He was a former employee of the Crossley Crop. in Cincinnati. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ; the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767; and St. Marys Senior Citizens. He was also a charter member of the St. Marys Special Firemen. Two daughters, Eileen Marie and Lois Ruth preceded him in death. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral Home with thh Rev. Dennis E. Snell officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are the St. Paul's UCC memorial fund or the American Cancer Society.
