Additional: Robert M. Deitsch, 59, of 218 S. Perry St., St. Marys, died at 2:41 p.m. Friday in Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. He had been admitted to the coronary care unit of the hospital, preparing for surgery. Born June 22, 1923 in Celina, he was the son of Walter and Lydia (Miller) Deitsch. On May 12, 1950, he married Ida M. Henning who survives. Survivors include three sons, Robert Deitsch and Bill Deitsch, both of St. Marys; Jeff Deitsch of New Knoxville, three daughters, Mrs. Owen (Kris) Hubbell and Mrs. Dave (Lynn) Freewalt, both of St. Marys, Mrs. Wayne (Cheryl) Ditson of Columbus; and six grandchildren. Mr. Deitsch was a truck driver for Continental Can Co. of Van Wert. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Yoder-Long and Folk funeral home with the Rev. Dennis E. Snell officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
