Additional: LaVern Donovan, 80, 118 Clearview Court, St. Marys, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Macon, Ga.; the daughter of Thomas and Daisy Mae (Burnet) Johnson. On Jan. 2, 1944, she married William J. Donovan, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Anne (John) Mailbordo of Paris, France; a son, William (Sharon) Donovan of Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Jeanne Young of Fort Valley, Ga.; a brother, Van Johnson, of Fort Valley, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Rachel Donovan of Palm Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Donovan was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in St. Marys. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Marys. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Rev. Keith Kivlin officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
