Additional: Helen Dammeyer, 83, formerly of 6020 Kettler Road, New Bremen, died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001 at Otterbein-St. Marys Retirement Community in St. Marys. She was born Nov. 23, 1917, in New Bremen, the daughter of Elmer and Hazel (Rabe) Kellermeyer. She married Alvin Dammeyer, who died Nov. 21, 1980. She is survived by good friends Marvin and Jeannette Moeller of New Bremen. A homemaker, Mrs. Dammeyer was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. She was a member of the New Bremen Senior Citizens, of which she was past presdident, the American Legion Post 241 Auxiliary, and the Woodman Circle of New Bremen. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Gilberg Funeral Home in New Bremen with the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the church memorial fund.
