Additional: Gerald E. Dickson, 77, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2001 in his residence. He was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Uniopolis, the son of Kepple George and Eva Clark Dickson. He married Diana Raines Howell Dickson, who survives. Other survivors include: four daughters, Karen Blodgett of Columbus, Mary Beth Webb of Wapakoneta, Katheryn E. Shafer of Akron, and Ann Dickson of Dublin, Ohio; two stepsons, Franklin Thomas Howell of Wapakoneta and Henry Norman Howell of Sidney; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dortha Myers. Mr. Dickson had been a truck driver for Duff Truck Lines and was retired from Niswonger Chevrolet. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, with the Rev. Terry Brock officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.
