Additional: St. Marys—Charles E. Donovan Jr., 80, of 1505 Oakview Drive, St. Marys, died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 1999 in Franciscan Hospital at Dayton. He was born June 13, 1918 at Dublin Township of Mercer County to Charles and Trecia Alexander Donovan Sr. On April 16, 1938 he married Pauline Rasawehr. She survives at the residence. Also surviving are four sons and one daughter, Harold and Beverly Donovan of Celina, Glen and Anne Donovan of Celina, Don and Johanna Donovan of Mason, Ohio, Dennis and Jeanne Donovan of St. Marys, and Mrs. Jonny (Wanda) Dicke of Celina; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Donovan of Celina; four sisters, Carrie Britton of Celina, Ruth Chaney of Mendon, Marie Howell of Celina and Mary French of Coldwater. He was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister and his parents. Mr. Donovan was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ at St. Marys. He was a retired farmer, having farmed north of St. Marys for many years. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's UCC with the Rev. Nathan Wierwille officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery at St. Marys. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. today in Miller Funeral Home at St. Marys. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Paul's UCC.
