Additional: Mary Comer Cleveland, 84, Sarasota, Fla.; formerly of Buckland and Spencerville, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at her home. She was born May 19, 1916, in Buckland, the daughter of Albert and Delcie Rozella (Ramsey) Adams. On Jan. 30, 1938, she married William Comer, who died. She then married Charles Cleveland, who also died. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Ann Collins-Kreiger of Sarasota, Fla., and Janice K. Bronlee of Monroe, N.C.; a son, William E. Comer of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Odie Champ of Spencerville and Ellen McClanahan of Venedocia; a brother, Glen Adams of Plano, Texas; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Adams, Jr., Russell Adams and Edgar Adams, and three sisters, Edna, Pearl and Velma. With her first husband, Mrs. Comer Cleveland co-owned and operated a restaurant in Spencerville for several years before moving to Florida. She was also a beautician for many years before retiring. Funeral services were held Nov. 26 in Sarasota, Fla. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
