Additional: Wapakoneta—Rose J. Blackburn, 65, of County Road 25A, Wapakoneta, died at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, in Cleveland Clinic at Cleveland. She was born May 3, 1934, at Canada, Ky., to Charlie and Bertha Crager King. On Dec. 27, 1952, she married Elmer O. Blackburn. He died May 14, 1983. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jackie Billiter of Wapakoneta, Jack Blackburn of Dacula, Ga., Wade Blackburn of Lima and Bruce Blackburn of Wapakoneta; five daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Jones of Wapakoneta, Karen and Larry Miller of Lima, Patricia Widmark of Wapakoneta, Pamela Reynolds of Lima and Sandra and Roger Woods of Lima; nine grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Ginny Epperson and Frank and Sharon King, all of Wapakoneta; and a sister and brother-in-law, Avie and Robert Tabler of Wapakoneta. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Blackburn, and a brother, Charles Mullins. A homemaker, Mrs. Blackburn was a member of the Maranatha Assembly of God at Wapakoneta. She was affiliated with the Wapakoneta Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8445. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home at Wapakoneta with the Rev. Jozsef L. Farkasdi officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Charity of the donor's choice.
