Additional: Wapakoneta—Joseph P. Berg, 60, of Route 6, Blank Pike, died at 1:30 a.m. today at his home following an apparent heart attack. He was born Aug. 15, 1923, in Glynnwood, the son of Hugo and Bernadine Moran Berg. On August 28, 1948, he married Mary Vossler, who survives. Mr. Berg had been a lifetime farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and the Wapakoneta Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691. Survivors also include five daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Julia) Bauer and Mrs. George (Laurie) Wagner, both of Wapakoneta, Mrs. Robert (Trudy) Wright of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Thomas (Becky) Keep of Springboro and Mary Jean Berg of Lima; four sons, Joseph W. Berg and Robert (Pete) Berg, both of Wapakoneta, Timothy Berg stationed with the U.S. Navy in Long Beach, Calif., and James Berg of New Bremen; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Dan (Patricia) Kaple of McComb. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. David Hoying officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at Heinl-Long and Folk Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph School.
