Additional: Edward C. Brueggeman, 91, died 1:15 a.m. today, Monday, January 22, 1990, at Valley Nursing HOme, St. Marys. He was born Marich 16, 1898, northwest of New Bremen in German Township to J. William and Mary (Koeper) Brueggeman. He is survived by nieces and nephews. He was the last of his family having been preceded in death by eight sisters, Anna Wittenbrink, Wilhelmina Kuest, Fredonia Sudman, Emilie Cameron, Amanda Brueggeman, Emma Sollman, Ida Nedderman, Laura Brueggeman, and two brothers Emil and Benjamin. Mr. Brueggeman was retired from farming. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gilberg Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The preferred memorial is to the church memorial fund.
