Additional: Alma E. Boerger, 81, 13465 Renee Drive, Anna, died at 5:55 p.m. Aug. 2, at her home. She was born Aug. 22, 1919, in Minster, to John and Rose (Sommer) Schmiesing. On Feb. 4, 1941, she married Herbert Boerger, who survives. Other survivors are a son and his wife, Michael and Pat of Sidney; three daughters and their husbands, Carol and John Bucklew, Dayton, Grace and Robert Burke, Columbus, and Denise and Kevin Greve, Evergreen, Colo.; a daughter, Velma Matuszewski, Columbus; two brothers and their wives, Cletus and Mary Schmiesing, Fort Loramie and Harvey and Viona Schmiesing, Fort Loramie; a brother, John Schmiesing, Minster; a sister and her husband, Neoma and George Hoying, Cranberry Prarie; a sister, Edna Enneking, Minster; two sisters-in-law, Helen Schmiesing, Minster and Clara Schmiesing, McCartyville; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son-in-law, Joseph Matuszewski, and three brothers. She was a homemaker, and a member of Sacred Heart Church, McCartyville. She was a member of the Rosary Alter Sodality, the Adoration Hours Group, Wilson Memorial Auxiliary Volunteer, the Get To It Craft Club and was a volunteer at Auglaize Schools. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the church, the Rev. Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Wilson Hospice.
