Additional: Mrs. Sarah Christine Wibbeler, 79, of R.R.2 Wapakoneta, Gold Star Mother, died Sunday at 5 p.m. at Joint Township Memorial hospital where she had been admitted several days earlier. Death was due to complications after an illness of one year. On September 21, 1882, Mrs. Wibbeler was born in Washington Township, the daughter of the late William and Sophia Kuck Buddemeyer. She was married to Lewis Wibbeler, who preceded her in death in 1929. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Harold (Emma) Arnett, New Knoxville, LeRoy Wibbeler, Henry Wibbeler and Mrs. Bernard (Ruth) Kruse, all of R.R.2 Wapakoneta, Mrs. Eugene (Esther) Vogel, St. Marys, 26 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Christ Schroer, New Knoxville and one brother George Buddemeyer, R.R.2 Wapakoneta. One daughter, Mrs. Selma Settlage and one son, Walter Wibbeler, who was killed in World War II, two sisters, and two brothers, are deceased. The deceased was a member of the First E. and R. United Church of Christ in New Knoxville. She was a member of the German Bible Class and the Ladies Aid of the chruch. She also was a Gold Star Mother. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Vornholt funeral home in New Bremen and at 2 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in New Knoxville with the Rev. F.J. Lowenbergh officiating. Burial will follow in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may call at the Vornholt Funeral Home after Tuesday noon until the hour of the service on Wednesday.
