Additional: Robert J. "Bob" Wheeler, 59, Water Street, Wapakoneta, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at his residence. He was born Nov. 9, 1941, at Harriman, Tenn., the son of Eugene and Juanita (Wilde) Wheeler. His father survives at Celina. On April 30, 1960, he married Carol L. Anderson, who survives at Wapakoneta. Other survivors include three sons, Jerome (Brenda) Wheeler, Todd Wheeler, and Sheehan (Cece) Wheeler, all of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Cammy (Shaun) Place of Wapakoneta; four sisters, Ann (Bill) Sanchez of Pasadena, Calif.; Kathlene (Terry) Reiff of Rockford, Jacklene (Ron) Wick of Sidney and Sheryl (Ray) Willis of Lima; and four grandchildren, Bryan Wheeler, Jessica Wheeler, Robert Wheeler and Kelsey Place. He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Anita Poling; and an infant brother. Mr. Wheeler worked at the Dana Corporation of Lima as a tool and die maker. He was veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8445 at Wapakoneta and Wapakoneta Eagles 691. He was an avid antique dealer and woodworker. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home at Wapakoneta with the Rev. G. Richard Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery at Wapakoneta. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Wapakoneta VFW. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to The United Way.
