Additional: John F. Wolfe, age 78, was found dead in his room at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wolfe, 927 South Wayne street, about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Dr. D.L. Kile gave a heart attack as the cause of death and said that Mr. Wolfe had probably died about 4 p.m. He was a retired oil driller. He had owned gas wells at Jackson Center and had supplied Jackson Center with its gas for some years before his retirement. He was widely known among oil men. Mr. Wolfe was born Sept. 24, 1877, in Oil City, Pa., the son of the late Henry and Kathryn Clark Wolfe. He married Rosalind Ahlers who preceded him in death in 1915. Surviving him are his daughter, Mrs. Rhyd (Ruth) Ruth of Royal Oak, Mich, and son Ralph Wolfe of this city, four grandchildren, Ralph, Jr. Ruth and Jerry Wolfe, 927 South Wayne and Robert Davies, Royal Oak; a sister, Mrs. W.B. (Nettie) Jack of Spencerville and a brother, Dub Wolfe, Wapakoneta. Mr. Wolfe since his retirement has made his home with his son and daughter-in-law. Funeral services are arranged for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Yoder and Long Funeral Home with the Rev. Delbert Fruth officiating. Burial will take place in Elmgrove cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday until the hour of the services.
