Additional: Esther L. Woehler, 70, of 204 E. Monroe St., New Bremen, died at 1:00 a.m. today in Joint Township District Memorial Hospital after a six-month illness. She was born Jan. 30, 1912 in Van Buren Township, Shelby County, the daughter of Albert and Rebecca (Boesel) Westerbeck. On June 28, 1950, she married Eugene Woehler, who died May 24, 1976. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Wilhelmina Niekamp and Mrs. Ralph (Marie) Schwaberow, both of New Bremen; Mrs. Forest (Irene) Nuesmeyer of R.R.2, Wapakoneta; and one brother, Paul Westerbeck of New Bremen. A brother Arnold preceded her in death. Mrs. Woehler was a member of the New Bremen Senior Citizens and the American Legion Auxiliary of New Bremen, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church with the Rev. Dr. Lawrence T. Holmer officiating. Burial will be at the German Protestant Cemetery. Friend may call at Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen, from 4-9 p.m. Monday and until 11 a.m. Tuesday. The body will lie in state at the church after 11 a.m. prior to the services. The Legion Auxiliary has scheduled a memorial service for 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
