Additional: Dale R. Wittenbrink, 21, Route 1, New Bremen, died Monday at 9 a.m. at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. Death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Auglaize County Coroner Richard Harbord reported. Born Oct 21, 1955 in St. Marys, he was the son of Edwin and Brunhilda (Egbert) Wittenbrink, who survive. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Barry (Joann) Boyer, Route 1, New Bremen, a brother Thomas of Route 2, Wapakoneta and the maternal grandmother Mrs. Roscoe (Lillian) Egbert, New Bremen. A 1974 graduate of New Bremen High School, Mr Wittenbrink was member of the New Bremen FFA, the New Bremen Young Farmers, and the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. He was engaged in farming. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with the Rev. Roger D. Perl officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call at Vornholt Funeral Home in New Bremen after 1 p.m. Wednesday and until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of the funeral. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
