Additional: New Bremen—Bernice E. Wittenbrink, 70, 116 N. Franklin St., died at approximately 8:05 p.m. Sunday Oct. 2, 1994, at the Arthur James Cancer Center, Columbus. She had been ill for two years. She was born Feb. 24, 1924, near New Bremen to Harry H. and Bertha M. (Huelsmeyer) Wiehe. On April 15, 1950, she married Willis L. Wittenbrink, who died May 7, 1989. She is survived by two sons, Tedd, Pikerington; Kurt, Eden, N.Y.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Ruth) King, Celina; Mrs. James (Elizaabeth) King, Fremont; and a brother, Victor Wiehe, Wildwood, Fla. She was preceded in death by an infant daghter, Carol; an infant son, Danny; a sister, Edna Hirschfeld; and a brother, Howard Wiehe. Mrs. Wittenbrink retired in 1982 from Minster Machine Company where she was a secretary in the Engineering Department. Prior to that she was employed at Howell's IGA. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and was active in several church groups. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Jeffrey R. Gerber and Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gilberg Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The preferred memorials are to the church and the American Cancer Society.
