Additional: A St. Marys woman was killed in an accident on State Route 362, just north of the Auglaize Shelby County line at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, according to the St. Marys Post of the State High Way patrol. Tami D. Vogel, 22 of St. Marys, was dead at the scene, according to the State Highway Patrol. Randy Waterman, 22, of New Bremen, received injuries was taken to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, by the Minster Rescue Squad. He is being released from the hospital today. A spokeswoman for the patrol said that Waterman was northbound on S. R. 362, traveling at an apparent high rate of speed when he drove off the right side of the road after rounding a curve and striking a guardrail. The car became airborne, struck a tree and came to a rest. Vogel was thrown from the vehicle. Waterman's car, a '78 Chevrolet was demolished. The St. Marys Post was assisted by the Minster Police Department. The accident remains under investigation. Miss Vogel, of 311 N. Chestnut, St. Marys was dead on arrival at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, November 8. Born June 11, 1959 in St. Marys, she was the daughter of Eugene E. and Esther (Wibbeler) Vogel. She is survived by her mother. There are also two sisters, Mrs. Steve (Karen) Vornholt of Galt, Mo., and Mrs. Gerald (Connie) Hegemeier of Charlottesville, Virginia. ... Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
