Additional: Wilma M. Schrimpf, 82, of 311 Defiance St., Wapakoneta, died the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998 at her residence. She was born Nov. 10, 1915 in New Knoxville to Ferd and Matilda (Katterheinrich) Schroer. In September of 1967, she married August "Gus" Schrimpf, who died July 25, 1972. She is survived by one foster son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Dorothy Thiebeau of St. Marys; one foster daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Tom Higley of Del Rio, Texas; one grandson and his wife, Rick and Mindy Thiebeau of St. Marys; and one great-granddaughter, Shannon Marie Thiebeau of St. Marys. Mrs. Schrimpf had been a practical nurse, working in Wapakoneta area nursing homes for more than 50 years. Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Long & Folk Funeral Home in Wapakoneta with the Rev. Alva Daniel officiating. Burial will take place Monday at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville in a private burial service. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
