Additional: Roger Schoch, 78, of Minster, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born April 7, 1922 in Coldwater, the son of Daniel and Odelia Schoch. On June 11, 1946, he married Lucille Boehmer, who survives. Other survivors include one son, Daniel Schoch of Minster; two daughters, Janice (Patrick) McGowen of Ft. Loramie and Judy (John) Paietta of Beavercreek; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and four sisters, Gerry Sininger of Bryan, Rita Noll of Santa Maria, Ca., Marilyn Kaneny of Coldwater and Jeanette Fisher of Celina. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Geron and a brother, Louis "Bud" Schoch. Mr. Schoch was a graduate of Coldwater High School, attended Ohio Northern University and served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific in World War II. He graduated from Cleveland College of Mortuary Sciences in 1949. He was an embalmer and funeral director for Heinl Funeral Home and was a retired employee of the Minster Post Office. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and the St. Augustine Men's Choir. He was past commander and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6432, American Legion Post 387, Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Lake Loramie Improvement Association. Funeral services wil be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. William Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9-9:30 a.m. Monday at Gehret Funeral Home, Ohio 362, Ft. Loramie.
