Additional: Mandy E. Shoup, 513 Court St., Wapakoneta, died at 1:05 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 1999 at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Northern Indiana early Sunday morning. She was born Sept 4, 1975 in Lima to Edward E. and Kathleen M. (Fuerst) Burden, who survives in Botkins. On Oct. 26, 1996, she married Shane David Shoup, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Alexander M. Shoup at home; her mother-in-law, Sharon M. Shoup of Wapakoneta; two brothers; Edward T. Burden II, and his fiance Tammy Grisez of Minster, and Daniel M. Burden of Botkins, a sister-in-law, Staci Shoup of Wapakoneta; and her grandparents, Maurice and Florence Fuerst of New Hampshire, and Richard and Virginia Burden of Botkins. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, David G. Shoup. Mrs. Shoup was a 1993 graduate of Botkins High school and a 1997 graduate of Bluffton College. She was the Music Director for New Knoxville Schools and was a former Music Teacher for St. Charles Elementary School in Lima. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Botkins and was the Youth Choir Director and Cantor at the church. She was a member of the oOhio Music Education Association. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 1999 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Botkins with the Rev. James F. Trick officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Thursday in the Long & Folk Funeral Home, Wapakoneta Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alexander Shoup Scholarship Fund or to the donor's choice.
