Additional: Lois E. Schmidt, 77, 1252 W. High St., Piqua, died at 10:53 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, in the Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born Feb. 18, 1923, in St. Marys, the daughter of Hershall A. and Edna M. (Kellermeyer) Russell. Her first husband, WIlliam E. Baumgardner, preceded her in death. On Nov. 22, 1978, in North Lawrence, she married Eugene W. Schmidt, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, W. Malcom Baumgardner of North Royalton and Craig Baumgardner of Tempe, Ariz.; two daughters, Dian (James) Cattarin of North Lawrence and Jane Wilcox of Piqua; two sisters, Fae Steinecker and Charmaine (the Rev. Carl) Leach, both of St. Marys; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A graduate of Memorial High school in St. Marys, Mrs. Schmidt was a shop office expediter at French Oil Mill Machine Co. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Church Circle in Piqua. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home in Piqua with the Rev. Jack Chalk officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys at a later date.
