Additional: New Knoxville—Erna C. Stienecker, 93, formerly of 508 W. Bremen St., died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1996, at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta. She was born Feb. 15, 1902, in Van Buren Township, Shelby county, to Henry and Fredericka (Elshoff) Stienecker. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Edward (Esther) Roberts, Cleveland; and 15 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Erbin, and six sisters, Ida Meyer, Sarah Kipp, Lina Rodeheffer, Bertha Stienecker, Matilda Timmerman and Hattie Kuck. Miss Stienecker was a homemaker and a telelphone operator for the New Knoxville Telephone Company. She was a life long member of the First United Church of Christ and a member of its Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The preferred memorial is to the Church Radio Broadcast Fund.
