Additional: Elmer W. Schroer, of 09378 Ohio 29, New Knoxville, died at 6 a.m. Friday, August 10, 1990, in his home. He was 71. Born July 14, 1919, in New Knoxville, he was the son of Christ and Lena (Buddemeyer) Schroer. On September 19, 1942, he married Mildred Jung, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bonita) Frideger of Huber Heights; two grandsons; one great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Rodeheffer of St. Marys and Mrs. James (Verneda) EWing of Buckland; and one brother, Harvey Schroer of New Knoxville. He was preceded in death by two sistrs, Emily Nuesmeyer and Leona Hess and one brother, Emil Schroer. Mr. Schroer was a retired farmer and member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen with Rev. Jon Coddington officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call Saturday in the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
